Description

The Elaris is a 630mm-tall table lamp built around a vertical grey marble slab, split down its centre by a brushed brass spine and grounded on a solid brass base. A rectangular grey PVC shade sits on a slim brass stem above the stone, completing a strictly rectilinear silhouette. A single E27 lamp socket inside the shade accepts standard screw-fit bulbs (sold separately).

Suited to console tables, sideboards and bedside positions where a sculptural light is wanted alongside ambient function, the Elaris measures 400mm long by 200mm deep at the base, giving it a relatively narrow footprint for its height. The shade casts most of its light downwards onto the surface and upwards towards the ceiling, making it useful as low-level ambient light next to a sofa or bed rather than as a directed reading lamp.

The marble slab shows soft grey tones with diagonal darker veining that varies between individual pieces, since the stone is cut from natural blocks. The brushed brass spine and base plinth introduce warmth against the cooler stone, while the grey shade picks up the marble's tonal range and ties the palette together. The combined material weight gives the lamp a stable, anchored feel on a hard surface.

What bulb does the Elaris take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the marble and brass tones.

Is the marble veining the same on every lamp?

No. The slab is cut from natural marble, so the diagonal veining pattern, depth of grey and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. This is a property of the stone rather than a defect.

Is it suitable as a reading lamp?

The rectangular shade casts light primarily up and down rather than to the sides, so the Elaris works best as ambient light beside a sofa or bed rather than as directed reading task light. For reading, a lamp with an open or angled shade is a better match.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry the stone immediately afterwards. Avoid acidic cleaners, polish sprays and abrasive pads, which can damage the marble's surface finish.
