Description

The Efir is a single-drop LED pendant light built around a 75mm-diameter black aluminium cylinder, 135mm tall, with an integrated 15W 3000K LED inside. The cylinder houses the driver and LED module in one sealed unit, with a matt black finish on the exterior and light emitting from the open base. A matching black ceiling rose and adjustable fabric-covered cable allow the pendant to be set anywhere between 165mm and 1365mm below the ceiling fixing point.

Designed for use over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and work surfaces where focused downlight is needed, the Efir works best in multiples — three or five pendants spaced evenly above a long counter or island. The 75mm diameter keeps each pendant compact enough to avoid dominating the space, while the adjustable drop allows the cluster to be set at the right height relative to the work surface or table. The black finish pairs with modern, industrial and minimalist interiors, and the matt surface minimises reflections under daylight.

The aluminium body acts as a heatsink for the integrated LED, which is rated at 3000K — a warm white that sits between neutral task light and the warmer tones of traditional tungsten. The IP20 rating limits the Efir to dry indoor locations only. The pendant runs on standard 220-240V AC mains and does not require an external driver. Maytoni backs the Efir with a 5-year warranty covering the LED module and driver.

Is the Efir dimmable?

The integrated LED driver is not listed as dimmable in the specification. Contact us to confirm dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.

Can the cable length be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The fabric-covered cable can be shortened or lengthened within the 165-1365mm range during installation. Once fitted, the cable can be adjusted again by loosening the ceiling rose and feeding more or less cable through the grip.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a 2-2.5m island, three Efir pendants spaced 600-700mm apart works well. For islands 2.5m or longer, five pendants give more even coverage. The 75mm diameter keeps each pendant compact enough to avoid crowding the space.

What is the light output and beam angle?

The specification does not list lumens or beam angle. The 15W LED at 3000K provides warm white downlight suitable for task lighting over work surfaces. The open-base design directs light downwards with some spill onto the surrounding area.
