Description

The Edna is a 5-light cluster pendant built around five cylindrical LED bars finished in matt black with polished gold tips, each suspended on an adjustable cable from a 43cm circular ceiling canopy. Each bar houses an integrated 5W LED behind an opal acrylic diffuser, delivering a combined 2,250 lumens at 3000K warm white. The bars can be positioned at different heights between 85cm and 200cm, creating either a staggered cascade effect or a uniform cluster depending on the installation configuration.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Edna works as both task and ambient lighting. The five individual light sources spread illumination across a wider area than a single-point pendant, reducing harsh shadows when hung over a worktop or dining surface. The 43cm canopy diameter suits standard UK ceiling roses and the gravity toggles on each cable ensure the canopy remains level even when the bars are set at asymmetric heights. The fixture is dimmable via TRIAC or 0-10V wall dimmers, allowing output to be adjusted from full task brightness down to low ambient levels.

The matt black body finish absorbs ambient light and creates visual contrast against the polished gold tips, which catch and reflect light from surrounding sources. The combination pairs well with contemporary interiors using brass hardware, warm-toned woods and dark accent colours. At 3.75kg total weight the pendant requires secure fixing to a joist or reinforced ceiling rose. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

Yes. The integrated LED is compatible with both TRIAC and 0-10V LED wall dimmers. Dimmer performance varies by manufacturer, so test compatibility before final installation if precise low-end dimming is required.

Can the bars be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each bar hangs on an individual cable with an adjustable height mechanism. The bars can be repositioned at any time without rewiring, allowing you to change the configuration from a cascade pattern to uniform cluster or vice versa.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop range is 85-200cm. For a kitchen island or dining table, the typical installation sets the lowest bar 70-80cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings allow for a more dramatic staggered cascade effect.
