The Mantra Edge Smart is a 465mm diameter flush ceiling light with an integrated 56W LED panel that shifts colour temperature from warm 3000K to cool 5000K via remote control, mobile app or voice command. An opal white acrylic diffuser sits within a thin white trim that floats 5-8mm clear of the ceiling surface, creating a soft halo shadow around the perimeter when lit.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms and utility rooms where ceiling height is limited or a low-profile fitting is preferred, the Edge Smart mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose without requiring a suspended kit. The 65mm projection from ceiling to diffuser face makes it suitable for rooms with 2.3m ceiling heights or lower. The 120° beam angle distributes 3000lm across the room with minimal shadowing at the edges, providing general ambient lighting rather than task or accent.

The tuneable white function adjusts the LED colour temperature across the 3000K-5000K range, allowing warm white for evening relaxation or cool white for morning routines. Control options include the supplied infrared remote, the Mantra Smart app (iOS and Android), and voice assistants including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Dimming is stepless from 1-100% across all control methods, and scenes can be programmed within the app to automate colour temperature and brightness changes at set times.

The white powder-coated metal trim and back plate resist discolouration under heat and UV exposure better than painted plastics, and the opal acrylic diffuser cleans with a damp microfibre cloth. Is the Edge Smart compatible with voice assistants?

Yes. The fitting pairs with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control of dimming, colour temperature and on/off switching. Setup requires the Mantra Smart app and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.

What's the difference between 3000K and 5000K light?

3000K is warm white with a yellow-orange tone, similar to traditional incandescent bulbs, suited to evening and relaxation. 5000K is cool white with a blue-white tone closer to daylight, suited to morning routines, makeup application and tasks requiring colour accuracy.

Can the light be installed in a bathroom?

The Edge Smart carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations. For bathroom installation it must be positioned outside zones requiring splash or moisture protection — typically ceiling areas more than 600mm from a shower head or bath edge.

Does the remote control require line-of-sight?

Yes. The supplied remote uses infrared and requires direct line-of-sight to the fitting. The app and voice control use Wi-Fi and work from anywhere within range of the home network without needing to point at the light.
