Description

The Eclipsea is a 495mm diameter white glass pendant light with a flattened dome shade suspended from a white metal canopy. The opal glass diffuser wraps fully around a single E27 bulb fitting, distributing light evenly downward and outward through the translucent material. The metal frame holds the glass shade securely while the canopy conceals the ceiling rose and cable entry point.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and low-ceilinged spaces where a wide, shallow pendant works better than a deep drop, the Eclipsea provides general ambient light across a 2-3m radius. The 495mm diameter suits tables seating four to six people, positioned 700-800mm above the table surface. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and wet rooms.

The white opal glass softens the light output and hides the bulb filament or LED array from view, preventing glare when seated nearby. The glass shade is removable for cleaning and bulb changes. Pairing the Eclipsea with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch allows the light level to be adjusted from bright task lighting during meals to softer background light in the evening.

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. To achieve dimming you need a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch installed on the lighting circuit. Check your bulb and dimmer specifications match before pairing.

The Eclipsea takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 9-12W LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining table use.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms or other areas where moisture is present.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before removing the glass shade. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid, rinse and dry thoroughly before refitting.
