The Eclipse Small is a 290mm table lamp with a curved polished chrome arc suspending a single faceted optical glass shade over a matching chrome base. The shade is cut with multiple angled facets that refract light through the clear glass, creating a shifting pattern of highlights and reflections depending on the viewing angle. A single G9 bulb sits inside the shade (sold separately), with light passing through the faceted glass to produce both direct task light and diffused ambient glow.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and narrow sideboards where space is limited, the Eclipse footprint measures 260mm wide by 120mm deep, allowing it to fit comfortably on surfaces where a larger lamp would dominate. The curved chrome arm lifts the shade approximately 200mm above the base, positioning the light source at a useful height for reading or providing accent light without the bulk of a traditional table lamp. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light during the day, giving the lamp a presence even when switched off.

The optical glass shade is inspired by faceted cut crystal but uses moulded glass rather than hand-cut crystal, keeping the cost accessible while retaining the refractive effect. Each facet catches and bends the light differently, so the lamp produces a more varied light pattern than a simple frosted or clear shade would. The polished chrome is a high-gloss finish that shows fingerprints and requires occasional buffing with a soft cloth to maintain the mirror shine. Yes, provided you use a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself has no dimmer control built in, so dimming is controlled at the wall switch or inline dimmer on the cable.

How much space does it need on a bedside table?

The base footprint is 260mm wide by 120mm deep, so it fits comfortably on most bedside tables without overhanging. The curved arm extends the shade forward, so allow approximately 300mm total width when accounting for the arc.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and smudges. Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For smudges, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then buff dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes that can scratch the finish.
