Eclipse 4 Light Glass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Chrome

The Eclipse is a 4-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a 42cm square chrome backplate with four spherical crackle-effect glass globes arranged symmetrically around a central fifth globe. Each globe houses a G9 LED bulb (included) and features internal decorative glass filament detail that adds texture when the light is switched on. The 15cm total drop from ceiling to lowest point makes this suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings or lower.

Designed for low-ceiling spaces including hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms where a flush or pendant fitting would hang too low, the Eclipse provides ambient light across approximately 12-15m² without requiring significant ceiling clearance. The chrome square backplate reflects light back into the room and pairs with both contemporary and transitional interiors. The fitting includes gravity toggles for secure ceiling mounting on plasterboard or solid ceilings.

The crackle glass finish diffuses the LED output to reduce glare while maintaining enough transparency to see the decorative filament detail inside each globe. The four outer globes sit at the corners of the square backplate with the fifth globe positioned centrally, creating a geometric arrangement that works equally well viewed from directly below or at an angle down a corridor. The chrome finish is polished rather than brushed, giving crisp reflections that complement polished chrome door furniture and tap fittings.

Each of the four G9 LED bulbs is rated at 6W, delivering a combined 24W output across the fitting. The bulbs are included with the fitting and are replaceable if one fails, avoiding the need to replace the entire unit. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.

Does it come with bulbs?

Yes. The Eclipse includes 4 x G9 LED 6W bulbs. These are replaceable if one fails — standard G9 LED bulbs are widely available from hardware and lighting retailers.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 15cm drop from ceiling to the lowest point of the glass globes makes this fitting appropriate for rooms with 2.4m ceiling heights or lower. Semi-flush fittings like the Eclipse are designed specifically to provide ambient light without protruding significantly into headroom.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard ceilings?

Yes. The fitting is supplied with gravity toggles designed for secure mounting on plasterboard (also called drywall). The 3.7kg weight requires proper fixings — do not rely on standard screws in hollow plasterboard alone.

Is it dimmable?

The G9 LED bulbs included are not typically dimmable. If dimming is required, check the bulb packaging or replace with G9 dimmable LED bulbs rated for the same wattage and confirm compatibility with your dimmer switch before installation.
