Description
The Eclipse is a single-light wall fitting with a curved black chrome arm that extends from a square backplate, holding a precision-cut optical glass shade inspired by lunar surface textures. The arm sweeps outward 140mm from the wall, positioning the glass shade at an angle that allows the G9 bulb inside to refract through the faceted cuts in the glass, creating patterns of shadow and highlight on surrounding walls.
Designed for bedside positions, reading corners, hallways and feature walls where a compact wall light is needed without a pendant drop or large sconce projection, the Eclipse fits a 220mm square footprint on the wall and mounts to a standard UK backplate. The single G9 socket accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs (sold separately), with dimming available when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
The black chrome finish is a darker, gunmetal-toned variant of polished chrome, achieved by adding carbon to the chromium plating process. This gives the metal a charcoal grey depth rather than the bright mirror finish of standard chrome, making it pair comfortably with contemporary interiors using darker accent tones, black joinery, or industrial materials. The optical glass shade weighs 0.9kg total installed, requiring solid wall fixing into masonry or into a stud where plasterboard is used.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Eclipse take?
The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range provide equivalent light to traditional 25-40W halogen capsules and run cooler. Most users pair this with a warm white 2700K-3000K LED for bedside or accent lighting.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Check that both the bulb specification and your dimmer are rated for LED if using an LED capsule, as older trailing-edge dimmers may flicker with some LED bulbs.
What is black chrome?
Black chrome is chromium plating with added carbon, producing a darker gunmetal grey tone instead of the bright mirror finish of standard polished chrome. It has a subtle sheen rather than a high gloss and pairs with contemporary and industrial interiors.
How far does it project from the wall?
The Eclipse projects 140mm from the wall surface to the furthest point of the glass shade. This makes it suitable for bedside positions above a headboard or side table without the shade projecting too far into a circulation route.
