Description
The Easyt track feed is the part that brings mains power into a track lighting run. It is a round, low-profile housing in black plastic, 12cm across and just 2cm high, with two flattened sides where the track joins it. It carries no lamp socket of its own, so it gives no light by itself; its job is to power the track and the lights fitted to it. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in dry rooms, so it suits living rooms, hallways, studies and bedrooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere outside.
Because it is so shallow, the feed stays discreet and lets the track and its lights take the attention. The black finish pairs naturally with a black track and dark spotlights, and it draws a crisp graphic line against a white or pale ceiling, a look many people want from track lighting in a modern kitchen or an open-plan living space. Whether you are planning a new track layout or replacing a feed on an existing Easyt run, this is the piece that powers the whole line of lights.
The body is plastic, which keeps it light at 0.13KG, and the body colour is black. There is no switch on the feed itself: it is switched at the wall, so the track and its lights are controlled from a wall switch. As a hard-wired mains part, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a PDF download, and we suggest printing them and keeping them with the feed so they are to hand when the work begins.
