Description

This wooden Easter plaque asks the Easter Bunny politely to stop at your door. Cut-out capitals spelling EASTER BUNNY run along its top edge, and beneath them PLEASE STOP HERE is printed in soft pink lettering across a white board. Along the lower half, a row of watercolour-style rabbits goes about its spring jobs: one in a straw hat with a watering can, one tending a basket of flowers, one watering a seedling and one mid-leap, with butterflies and tiny flowers dotted between them. A sage green stake is fixed to the back, and the whole piece measures 21cm high, 23cm wide and 1cm deep.

The stake does the work: push it into a plant pot, a window box or a planter by the front door and the plaque stands up on its own, with no nails or hooks needed. It sits just as happily in a pot of spring bulbs on a windowsill or a hallway table, where it sets the scene for Easter morning. Put it out the night before to show the Easter Bunny where to leave the eggs, or use it to mark the starting point of an egg hunt. It also makes a cheerful little Easter gift to take along when visiting, tucked into a basket with chocolate eggs.

Both the board and the stake are wood, with the white panel, pink lettering and illustrations on the front and a plain white back that shows the cut-out letters in reverse. Its soft colours sit well with pastel Easter decorations. Painted wood is happiest kept dry, so we would bring it indoors after the egg hunt or whenever rain is on the way, and give it a dust with a soft dry cloth before it goes away. Wrapped in tissue and stored with your Easter decorations, it will be ready to point the Easter Bunny the right way again next spring.

Frequently Asked

How big is the Easter Bunny plaque?

It measures 21cm high, 23cm wide and 1cm deep, a neat size for a plant pot, a window box or a windowsill.

What is the plaque made of?

The board and the stake are both wood. The panel is white with pink lettering and illustrated rabbits, and the stake is a soft sage green.

How does the plaque stand up?

A pointed stake is fixed to the back. Push it into the soil of a pot, planter or window box and the plaque stands upright on its own.

What words are on the plaque?

Cut-out letters along the top spell EASTER BUNNY, and PLEASE STOP HERE is printed in soft pink beneath them, above a row of illustrated rabbits.

Can I leave the plaque outside over Easter?

We would treat it as you would any painted wood and keep it dry. Bring it in after the egg hunt, or whenever rain is forecast, rather than leaving it out.

Does it make a good Easter gift?

Yes, it makes a cheerful Easter gift to take along when visiting, and it sits nicely in a basket alongside chocolate eggs and spring flowers.
