Description
This round ceramic bowl brings a cheerful note of spring to the table, with a little 3D bunny perched on its rim as though he has just hopped up to peek inside. The bowl is finished in a soft white with a gently dimpled surface, and slender wild flowers in pastel lilac, pink, yellow and blue grow up across the front, while the back is left plain. The bunny is a warm sandy brown, ears raised and front paws resting over the edge, and he sits to one side so the bowl stays open and easy to fill. It measures 18cm wide, 14.5cm deep and 12cm tall.
At 12cm tall it is a handy size for a coffee table, a sideboard or the centre of the Easter table, where it is ready to hold a heap of foil-wrapped chocolate eggs for the family to dip into. Once the eggs are gone it earns its place the rest of spring, in the hallway for keys, on a dressing table for hair ties and rings, or on a kitchen shelf as a little pop of seasonal colour. It makes a thoughtful Easter gift.
The bowl is made from ceramic, and its round shape and open top make it simple to fill and to empty. To keep it looking fresh, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it straight away, and dust the bunny with a soft dry cloth so the little details around his ears and paws stay clean. Lift it by the bowl rather than by the bunny. For a pretty springtime table, set it at the centre beside a jug of daffodils or a few painted eggs, and as a gift we like to fill it with a handful of mini eggs before it is wrapped.
