This large concrete planter carries an earthen wash finish, giving the surface a softly mottled, weathered look that recalls hand-finished stoneware. Cast from solid concrete, it has real weight and presence, standing 54cm tall with a generous 58cm diameter that reads as a floor-standing piece rather than a tabletop pot. The wide opening makes it well suited to sizeable indoor plants, and the natural tonal variation across the wash means no two pieces look exactly alike.

We like this planter grouped with foliage that has scale to match, such as a fiddle leaf fig, a rubber plant or a cluster of tall grasses. Its neutral, stone-like finish sits comfortably against wood, rattan and linen, so it works in a plant-filled living room corner, a hallway or a bright conservatory.
