Description

The Eamon is a compact outdoor up/down wall light built from black polycarbonate with dual GU10 fittings that send light both upwards and downwards from a cylindrical housing. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for sheltered external walls, porches, balconies and covered entrance areas.

Designed for mounting on exterior walls flanking doorways, garage entrances and garden pathways, the Eamon projects 88mm from the wall and stands 170mm tall with a 60mm diameter. The dual-beam output creates a vertical wash of light on the wall behind, useful for illuminating house numbers, highlighting architectural details, or providing ambient security lighting around building perimeters. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in coastal environments and requires minimal maintenance compared to metal outdoor fittings.

Each GU10 socket accepts bulbs up to 5W (sold separately), allowing a total 10W maximum load across both lamps. The clear diffuser at each end of the cylinder directs light cleanly upwards and downwards without lateral spill. Dimming capability depends on the bulbs installed — pairing the fitting with dimmable GU10 LEDs and a compatible dimmer switch allows adjustable output. The Class II construction means no earth connection is required during installation.

The Eamon range includes matching spike lights for garden paths and a choice of four finishes (black, white, grey, stainless steel) across the same polycarbonate build. The 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and finish degradation under normal outdoor exposure.

The Eamon carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes from any direction. It suits sheltered external walls, covered porches, balconies and entrance canopies, but should not be installed in fully exposed positions subject to direct rainfall or standing water.

What bulbs does it take?

The Eamon takes two GU10 bulbs up to 5W each, for a total 10W maximum load. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white GU10 LEDs at 2700K-3000K for outdoor entrance lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulbs installed. Pair the fitting with dimmable GU10 LEDs and a compatible LED dimmer switch to achieve adjustable output. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will operate at full brightness only.

How is the polycarbonate construction different from metal outdoor lights?
