Description

A slender tube of gold-tinted glass sits on a standard E27 cap, with a line of LED filament running its length. The light it gives is a deep amber, closer to candle glow than to ordinary warm white, and the tint of the glass softens it further. At 185mm tall and only 30mm across, it reads as a thin bright line rather than a blob of light. It draws 4W and dims on a suitable dimmer, though the dimmer itself is a separate purchase.

We stock it as a lamp to be looked at, not hidden. It suits open pendants, cage fittings and bare flex drops over a bar, a kitchen island or a run of shelves, and it looks well in a cluster at staggered lengths. The narrow tube also fits happily inside tall clear shades and lanterns where a bulbous lamp would look wrong. Given how low and warm the output is, we would choose it for evening rooms, snugs, bedrooms and hospitality settings rather than as the only light in a working kitchen. Where you need more brightness, pair it with a brighter source nearby.

The body is glass with a gold tone through it, and the cap is the usual screw fitting, so it goes straight into anything already taking an E27 lamp. Once it has cooled, a dry cloth over the glass is enough; skip sprays and damp cloths, as smears show badly on a tinted tube meant to be seen. It carries a three year warranty. If you like the look, keep the fitting honest to it: clear or open shades, dark metal, and a dimmer set low so the filament line stays a glow rather than a glare.
