Description
The Maytoni Dynamics is a cylindrical wall light with twin GU10 fittings, one facing upward and one downward, housed in a matt white aluminium body. The vertically-ribbed outer cylinder acts as both heatsink and visual texture, while the inner smooth cylinder contains the lamp holders. Light exits from both open ends, creating an up-and-down wash across the wall surface.
Designed for hallways, staircases, bathrooms (dry zones only — IP20 rated) and reception areas, the Dynamics provides accent lighting rather than primary illumination. The 23cm height and 6cm diameter give it a compact footprint suitable for walls where a traditional shade or bulkhead would dominate. The twin GU10 fittings accept standard LED, halogen or retrofit bulbs up to 50W each (bulbs sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and beam angle.
The matt white finish on the aluminium body diffuses ambient light reflection and pairs cleanly with white ceilings, neutral walls and contemporary interiors. The ribbed cylinder design provides grip for the heatsink fins while creating subtle vertical shadow lines when lit. Surface-mounting requires a standard back box or surface block fixed to the wall, with mains cable entry from behind the fitting.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Dynamics takes two GU10 bulbs, one for the upward light and one for the downward light. Maximum 50W per bulb, though most users fit LED GU10s between 4-7W. Bulbs are sold separately.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry zones in bathrooms only (Zone 3, typically more than 60cm from a bath or shower). It is not rated for zones where water splash or steam contact is possible.
Does it need a back box?
Yes. The fitting surface-mounts to a standard electrical back box or surface block fixed to the wall, with mains cable entry from behind. The 10.6cm length measurement accounts for the projection from the wall once fitted.
Can the bulbs be controlled separately?
No. Both GU10 fittings are wired in parallel to a single mains feed, so both bulbs switch on and off together. If you need independent control of the upward and downward light, a separate control circuit would need to be wired during installation.
