Description

The Dynamics is a single pendant light built around an 8cm diameter ribbed aluminium cylinder finished in matt black powder coat, enclosed within a clear glass cylindrical dome. A GU10 bulb fitting sits inside the aluminium core, which directs light downward through the ribbed texture while the clear glass outer protects the mechanism and adds a layer of visual depth. The pendant hangs from a black ceiling rose on an adjustable cord up to 170cm long.

Designed for task and accent lighting over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, desks and dining tables, the Dynamics casts a focused downlight beam rather than diffused ambient light. The narrow 8cm profile suits installation in multiples — three or five pendants spaced along a long island or worktop — without overwhelming the visual space above. The 170cm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 600-900mm above a work surface depending on ceiling height, with the cord trimmed and excess cable stored within the ceiling rose during installation.

The ribbed texture on the matt black aluminium cylinder creates linear shadow patterns when lit, turning the fitting itself into a decorative element rather than just a light source. The clear glass outer dome measures 32cm in total length including the black ceiling canopy, while the aluminium cylinder sits approximately two-thirds down the total drop. The GU10 fitting accepts LED, halogen or eco-halogen bulbs up to 50W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose light output and colour temperature based on the room's use.

The Dynamics takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 5-7W GU10 LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for task lighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.

Can multiple pendants be installed together?

Yes. The narrow 8cm diameter makes the Dynamics well-suited to installation in groups of three or five spaced evenly along a kitchen island or dining table. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and electrical connection.

How is the drop height adjusted?

The cord is adjustable up to 170cm during installation. Excess cable is stored within the black ceiling rose once the desired drop length is set. The pendant cannot be adjusted after installation without removing the ceiling rose.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Dynamics is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, outdoor locations or any environment with moisture or splashing.
