Description

The Durban is a 99cm linear LED wall light built around a hollow rectangular frame finished in matt black, with an integrated 30W LED strip along one inner edge. The LED casts 2300 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a 60° beam angle, illuminating the open frame itself and washing the wall behind with reflected light. The frame measures 60mm wide and projects 120mm from the wall.

Designed for vertical or horizontal mounting, the Durban suits large wall expanses in living rooms, hallways, staircases and loft conversions where a metre-tall fitting can anchor the space without overwhelming it. The narrow 60mm width keeps the visual footprint slim even when mounted vertically beside a doorway or at the end of a corridor. The 120mm projection means the fitting stands clear of the wall surface, creating depth and shadow when viewed from an angle.

The matt black finish absorbs ambient light during the day, making the frame recede into dark walls or stand out sharply against lighter surfaces. When lit, the 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that sits comfortably in residential interiors without the cooler blue cast of 4000K+ commercial lighting. At 1.2kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings but substantial enough to feel solid when mounted.
