Twelve AAA alkaline cells on one card, from the Simply range by Duracell. AAA is the slim cylindrical cell, the one most remote controls and small handsets take, and it is catalogued as LR03 under the international code and as MN2400 in Duracell's own numbering. Both codes are printed on the card, which is the quickest way to check a cell you are about to replace. Alkaline is single-use chemistry at 1.5 volts nominal, the standard for this size and type.

Twelve is a household quantity rather than a single replacement. It covers the television and set-top remotes, the wall clock, a wireless mouse and keyboard, the kitchen scale, a door chime and the toys that always seem to want two at once, and still leaves a few in the drawer for next time.
