Duracell Plus Power AAA Batteries (LR03) - 8 Pack

This is a pack of eight AAA alkaline cells from the Duracell Plus Power range. AAA is the slimmer of the two everyday cylindrical sizes, and the cell carries the international code LR03 alongside Duracell's own MN2400 reference, so if the spent cell in your remote reads either of those, this is the right replacement. Alkaline chemistry gives a nominal 1.5V per cell, which is what any device built around AAA expects. The card also carries the Power Boost Actives name and an up to 100 percent extra life claim; the asterisk against it points to a comparison the pack does not set out on the front, so treat it as the manufacturer's own wording.

Eight is a useful number because very little takes a single AAA. What voltage do these give?

An alkaline AAA is a nominal 1.5V cell. Two in series give 3V, three give 4.5V and four give 6V, which is why remotes, clocks and toys specify the count they do.

Can these be recharged?

No. These are alkaline cells, made for single use, and alkaline chemistry is not designed to be recharged. For repeat charging you need rechargeable cells and a charger instead.

What sort of devices are alkaline AAA cells best suited to?
