Description

The CR1620 is a 3V lithium coin cell, and this listing is for one cell on its own card. The code is also a measurement: CR marks the lithium chemistry, 16 is the diameter in millimetres and 20 is the height in tenths of a millimetre, so the cell measures 16mm across and 2.0mm thick. That matters more than it sounds, because a CR1616 or a CR1632 will sit in the same holder and either rattle loose or refuse to seat properly. Duracell prints both of this cell's names on the card, CR1620 and DL1620, which are the same cell under two naming systems.

Cells this size are commonly specified for car key fobs, garage and gate remotes, slim calculators, kitchen scales, watches and small medical readers. If you are replacing one, take the old cell out and read the number printed on its face rather than judging by eye, since several coin sizes look alike at a glance. Voltage is the other thing to check: a 3V lithium cell and a 1.5V silver oxide button share a shape but not an output, and the wrong one will not run the device as intended. Yes. CR1620 is the IEC code and DL1620 is Duracell's own reference for the same cell, and this card prints both of them together.

Can I use a CR1616 or a CR2016 instead?

No. A CR1616 is the same diameter but thinner, and a CR2016 is wider, so neither will make reliable contact in a holder built for a CR1620.

How many cells do I actually receive?

One cell per unit. The minimum order on this line is 10 units, in multiples of 10, so a first order brings you ten separate single cells.

What voltage does it give, and can it replace a 1.5V button cell?
