Description

The Dunmoor is a rectangular panel wall light supplied as a twin pack, so a matching pair arrives together for either side of a bed, a fireplace or a mirror. Each panel stands 450mm high and 200mm wide and projects only 96mm from the wall, which keeps it well out of the way in a hallway or beside a bed. The silver finish is flat and quiet, and the panel pushes light up and down the wall rather than out into the room. Between them the pair carry two 3W G9 lamp holders, and the fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Wall lights in pairs are the easiest way to balance a room, and this is where the Dunmoor works hardest: either side of a bed head as reading light, flanking a chimney breast, or lining a landing where a shallow wall sconce is needed. Because it projects less than 100mm it suits narrow halls and stairs where a deeper fitting would catch shoulders. It reads as modern rather than ornate, and having a matching pair from the outset makes symmetry straightforward in a bedroom or sitting room.

Each panel is metal, finished in silver with a smooth even surface that shows less dust than a textured one. Fitting is a straightforward wall box connection, and as a Class 1 light each position needs an earth, so this is work for a qualified electrician. The twin pack weighs 6.5kg between the two lights. To clean, switch off at the wall, let the bulbs cool, then wipe the panel with a dry or barely damp microfibre cloth and skip sprays and abrasive creams.
