Description
The Dunmoor is a rectangular panel wall light that comes as a twin pack, giving you a matching pair for either side of a bed, a mirror or a chimney breast. Each panel measures 450mm high by 200mm wide and sits just 96mm off the wall, so it stays clear of heads and shoulders in a hall or bedroom. The gold finish is warm and even rather than bright, and the panel washes light up and down the wall instead of pushing it into the room. The pair carry two 3W G9 lamp holders and are rated IP20 for dry indoor positions.
Symmetry is the point of a paired wall sconce, and the Dunmoor is made for it, whether flanking a bed head for reading, sitting either side of a fireplace, running along a landing or framing a hall mirror. The shallow 96mm projection makes it usable in tight corridors and on staircases where a deeper fitting would be in the way. Warm gold suits rooms working with cream, clay, deep green or navy walls, and it sits happily with brass door furniture and warm timber.
Each panel is metal with a gold finish, smooth and even so marks are easy to wipe away. Installation is a standard wall box connection, and as a Class 1 fitting each position needs an earth, which makes this a job for a qualified electrician. The twin pack weighs 6.5kg between the two lights. Clean with the power off and the bulbs cool, using a dry or barely damp microfibre cloth and no sprays or cream cleaners. Note that the Dunmoor is not dimmable, so pair it with a standard switch. A silver Dunmoor pair covers cooler schemes.
