Description
The Dunmoor in gold is a rectangular panel wall light, 450mm tall by 200mm wide, projecting only 96mm from the wall. Two G9 lamps sit behind the panel face, so the fitting puts useful light at wall height while keeping a flat, tidy profile. The gold finish is warm, which takes the hard edge off a strict rectangle and works with cream, clay and deep green walls as readily as with white. At 3.3kg the metalwork has real weight to it for a fitting of this size.
We would use a pair either side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace, or a run of three along a hallway where each sconce marks a step down the corridor. Gold sits well with warm timber, brass taps and older furniture, so it earns its place in period houses as much as in modern flats. It is a sensible answer for a bedside where the table is already full, and for a landing that needs light at low level.
The panel and backplate are metal, finished in gold, with two G9 LED lamps of around 5W each inside. It is not dimmable, so run it from a standard switch. Clean with a dry, soft cloth only and keep polishes and abrasive creams away from the gold, since they will mark it. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so avoid bathrooms and anywhere it might get splashed, and note that it is a Class 1 fitting needing an earthed supply. The silver Dunmoor gives you the same rectangle in cooler metal if you are mixing finishes between rooms.

Frequently Asked
What finish is it?
Gold, applied across the metal panel and backplate. A silver version of the same Dunmoor rectangle is also available.
How big is it?
It measures 450mm tall by 200mm wide and projects 96mm from the wall, weighing 3.3kg.
Which bulbs does it use?
Two G9 capsule bulbs. LED G9 lamps of around 5W each give plenty of output and run cool.
Is it dimmable?
No. It is designed for a standard switch, so leave the dimmer out of the circuit.
How should I look after the gold finish?
Dust it with a dry, soft cloth. Metal polish and cream cleaners will mark gold, so keep both away from it.
Where should I fit a pair?
Either side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace, at roughly 1.5 metres from the floor so the light falls usefully.
