Description

The Dune is a 2-light crystal wall light built on a gold-finished metal frame with two tiers of rectangular crystal prisms arranged in vertical rows. Each tier holds E14 bulb fittings (sold separately) behind the crystal, so the light refracts through the cut edges of each prism and casts both direct and diffused illumination onto the wall and into the room.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas where ambient and decorative light is needed without occupying floor or table space, the Dune mounts flush to the wall with a 31cm horizontal span and 18cm vertical height. The two-bulb arrangement provides sufficient light for circulation spaces or as accent lighting either side of a mirror, headboard or fireplace. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas away from bathrooms and kitchens where moisture is present.

The gold finish on the metal frame is applied in a warm mid-tone that pairs with both traditional brass fixtures and warmer contemporary schemes. Each crystal prism is cut with angled facets that catch and reflect ambient daylight when the bulbs are off, giving the fitting a decorative presence throughout the day. When lit, the refraction through the crystal creates multiple points of sparkle across the wall surface. The metal and crystal construction gives the fitting a solid 1.2kg presence once mounted.

What bulbs does the Dune take?

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the gold frame tone.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must be installed in dry indoor areas only. For bathrooms, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal prism gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water to run into the metal frame.

What fixing method does it use?

The Dune mounts to a standard UK wall box or directly to the wall surface using the backplate and fixings supplied. The installation manual (linked in the Downloads tab) shows the exact fixing positions and wiring requirements.
