Description

The Duna is a 58cm pendant built around three curved chrome arms that intersect at a central hub, each arm carrying two GU10 bulbs enclosed in opal white acrylic diffusers. The polished chrome frame and white diffusers form a kinetic, sculptural composition that appears to rotate as you walk around it, with each arm sweeping outward in a gentle arc.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Duna provides both ambient and architectural interest. The 500-730mm adjustable drop allows the fitting to be set closer to the surface in rooms with standard ceiling heights or raised higher in double-height spaces. The six GU10 lamps (included) sit behind the white acrylic diffusers, which soften the light output and eliminate glare when the fitting is viewed from below.

The three-arm symmetry gives the Duna a balanced presence when hung centrally over a table or island, with the 58cm diameter suiting surfaces between 1.4-1.8m wide. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight and creates bright highlights under artificial lighting, making the fitting appear more pronounced in the space. The total 4.6kg weight provides structural stability on the suspension cable without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement in typical domestic installations.

Are the GU10 bulbs included?

Yes. The Duna ships with six GU10 CFL bulbs rated at 2700K warm white. These can be replaced with LED GU10 bulbs if preferred, though check dimmer compatibility as the fitting itself is not dimmable.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 500mm minimum drop plus the fitting height means the Duna works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For a dining table or kitchen island the fitting typically sits 700-850mm above the surface, requiring approximately 2.6-2.8m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues.

Can the chrome arms be repositioned?

No. The three arms are fixed in their symmetrical configuration at the central hub. The design relies on this fixed geometry to maintain structural balance and the intended sculptural form.

Is the acrylic diffuser easy to clean?

Yes. The opal white acrylic panels can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as these will scratch the acrylic surface and create visible marks when the bulbs are lit.
