Description

The Duna is a 57cm four-light suspension fitting built around curved polished chrome arms arranged in a pinwheel formation, each arm fitted with an opal acrylic diffuser that houses a single GU10 bulb. The chrome arms curve outward from a central suspension rod, creating a sculptural profile when viewed from below. The opal diffusers soften the light from each bulb and hide the lamp itself, distributing warm 2700K light evenly without glare.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Duna works in spaces where both general ambient light and a statement fitting are needed. The 570mm length and 300mm width suit tables seating 4-6 people or islands in 4-5m kitchens. The drop is adjustable between 470mm and 700mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 650-800mm above a dining table surface depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome reflects surrounding colour and changes appearance depending on room lighting.

The fitting weighs 7.2kg once assembled, requiring a ceiling rose capable of supporting this load. The GU10 socket accepts standard UK mains-voltage bulbs, and the fitting ships with four CFL GU10 lamps included. The opal acrylic diffusers are removable for bulb changes and cleaning, each secured to its chrome arm by a clip fitting that does not require tools. The polished chrome finish is powder-coated metal rather than plated, so it resists tarnishing but shows fingerprints during handling and fitting.

Yes. The Duna ships with four GU10 CFL lamps at 2700K warm white. These are replaceable with any standard GU10 bulb up to the 60W total power limit, including LED, halogen or alternative CFL bulbs.

Is the Duna dimmable?

No. The fitting is rated as non-dimmable. If dimming is required, check whether any replacement GU10 LED bulbs you fit are themselves dimmable and compatible with your dimmer module.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 470mm to 700mm. For a dining table the fitting typically hangs 650-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Measure your ceiling height and table position before ordering.

How is the polished chrome cleaned?

Wipe the chrome arms with a soft microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes that can scratch the powder-coated finish. The opal diffusers can be removed and washed separately with warm soapy water.
