Description

The Duna is a 62cm-diameter suspension light built around three intertwined polished chrome arms, each encased in white opal acrylic diffusers that curve and twist around a central chrome column. Three 15W GU10 bulbs sit inside the acrylic casings, their output diffused through the opal material to produce soft 2700K warm white light without visible glare or hotspots.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room centres where ambient and decorative lighting are needed together, the Duna fits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m depending on the drop setting chosen. The suspension rod adjusts between 470mm and 700mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be positioned 600-800mm above a dining surface or 1.8-2m above floor level in open-plan spaces. The polished chrome canopy fixes to standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run.

The chrome arms form a ribbon-like structure that catches and reflects room light during the day, giving the fitting a sculptural presence even when switched off. At 2.8kg the fitting has enough mass to hang stably on the suspension rod without swaying noticeably in air movement. The opal acrylic diffusers distribute light evenly in all directions, making the Duna suitable for general room lighting rather than task or accent applications.

The three GU10 bulbs are included with the fitting and rated at 15W each, giving a combined 45W output. The bulbs are not dimmable and the fitting does not support dimmer switches. The polished chrome finish requires periodic cleaning with a soft dry cloth to maintain reflectivity, while the acrylic diffusers can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth to remove dust without scratching the surface.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension rod adjusts between 470mm and 700mm drop. For a dining table the fitting typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which requires ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Duna if the rod is set to minimum drop during installation.

Can it be used with a dimmer switch?

No. The included GU10 bulbs are not dimmable and the fitting is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to use a dimmer may damage the bulbs or cause flickering.

How is the chrome cleaned?

Wipe the polished chrome arms with a soft dry microfibre cloth to maintain the reflective finish. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, followed by immediate drying with a clean dry cloth. Avoid household polishes or chemical sprays on both the chrome and acrylic diffusers.
