Description
The Duceri D120DBR is a 3W LED emergency exit sign housed in a brass-finish surface-mount box measuring 402 x 204 x 71mm. The sign displays a running figure with a down arrow legend, indicating an exit route direction downwards (typically for stairs or descending ramps). The sign operates in maintained mode, meaning the LEDs stay illuminated continuously when mains power is present, and switch to lithium battery backup during power failure.
Designed for commercial buildings, offices, retail spaces, hotels and public buildings where emergency exit signage is required under UK Building Regulations Part B, the Duceri mounts directly onto walls or ceilings above doorways, stairwells and corridors. The brass finish casing pairs with heritage interiors, period conversions and warm-toned commercial schemes where chrome or white emergency signage would clash. The IP20 rating limits the sign to dry indoor locations only.
The lithium battery provides backup runtime during mains failure, with the exact duration determined by the battery capacity (see Specification table). The 3W LED lamp provides sufficient luminance to meet BS 5266 and BS EN 60598 emergency lighting standards for occupied escape routes. The surface-mount box design allows the sign to be installed without cutting into walls or ceilings, making it suitable for retrofits and listed buildings where recessed fittings are impractical.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between maintained and non-maintained mode?
Maintained mode means the LEDs stay illuminated continuously when mains power is present, and switch to battery backup during power failure. Non-maintained signs only illuminate when mains power fails. Maintained signs are typically required in public buildings, cinemas and hotels where the exit route must remain visible at all times.
How long does the battery backup last?
The lithium battery provides backup runtime during mains failure. The exact duration depends on the battery capacity. Refer to the datasheet in the Downloads tab for the rated emergency duration for this model.
Can this be installed in bathrooms or outdoor locations?
No. The IP20 rating limits the sign to dry indoor locations only. For bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor emergency signage, an IP65-rated model is required.
What does the down arrow legend indicate?
The down arrow indicates that the exit route continues downwards from the sign's location, typically for stairwells or descending ramps. This differentiates it from left, right or up arrow legends which indicate other exit directions.
