Description
The Duceri D120RWH is a 3W LED emergency exit box with a right-pointing arrow legend, lithium battery backup and maintained operation in a white polycarbonate housing. The unit displays a running figure and directional arrow continuously during normal operation and switches to battery power automatically during mains failure, providing a minimum of 3 hours illuminated signage to guide building occupants to the nearest exit.
Designed for commercial, retail, hospitality and office environments requiring BS 5266 and BS EN 60598-2-22 compliant emergency exit signage, the unit surface-mounts to walls or ceilings in corridors, stairwells, lobbies and open-plan spaces. The maintained mode keeps the sign permanently illuminated rather than only during power failures, making it suitable for locations where the exit route needs continuous visibility. The right-pointing arrow orients the sign for routes where the exit lies to the right of the viewer's position.
The white polycarbonate housing measures 402mm wide by 204mm high by 71mm deep and weighs 1.2kg, allowing installation on plasterboard, masonry and lightweight partition walls without additional support. The IP20 rating limits the unit to dry indoor locations. The lithium battery technology provides a longer service life and better performance at temperature extremes compared to traditional NiCd batteries, reducing maintenance cycles in commercial installations.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting?
Maintained emergency lights stay illuminated continuously during normal operation and switch to battery during power failures. Non-maintained units only illuminate when mains power is lost. Maintained signs are required in locations where the exit route needs continuous visibility, such as public buildings, cinemas and large retail spaces.
How long does the battery last during a power cut?
The lithium battery provides a minimum of 3 hours emergency illumination from a full charge. The battery recharges automatically when mains power is restored.
Can this be ceiling-mounted or is it wall-only?
The unit can be surface-mounted to either walls or ceilings. The right-pointing arrow legend determines the orientation — install so the arrow points towards the nearest exit from the viewer's position.
Is this compliant with UK building regulations?
Yes. The Duceri D120RWH is designed to meet BS 5266-1 (Code of Practice for Emergency Lighting) and BS EN 60598-2-22 (Particular requirements for emergency lighting luminaires). Consult the specification sheet in the Downloads tab for full certification details.
