Description
The Duceri is a 14W IP65-rated emergency bulkhead with an integrated microwave motion sensor, designed for maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting applications. The fitting houses 84 SMD 2835 LEDs delivering 1207 lumens in mains operation and 285 lumens in emergency mode, with a 5500K daylight colour temperature suitable for corridors, stairwells, loading bays and external covered areas.
The microwave sensor covers a 160° detection arc with adjustable sensitivity from 1-10 metres, adjustable lux threshold from 0-30 lux, and adjustable duration from 6 seconds to 30 minutes. In maintained mode the fitting operates as standard mains lighting with the sensor controlling activation; in non-maintained mode it operates only during mains failure or when manually tested. The 6V 1800mAh Ni-Cd battery provides a 3-hour emergency duration, recharging automatically when mains power is restored.
The 330mm diameter polycarbonate housing is sealed to IP65, protecting internal components from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for outdoor installation under soffits, canopies and covered loading areas, as well as wet internal environments such as industrial washrooms and commercial kitchens. A green LED indicator shows charging status. The fitting mounts to wall or ceiling surfaces and meets BS EN 60598-2-22 emergency lighting standards.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained operation?
In maintained mode the bulkhead operates as normal mains lighting controlled by the motion sensor, and switches to emergency mode during mains failure. In non-maintained mode it remains off during normal mains operation and illuminates only during power cuts or manual testing. The fitting supports both modes and can be configured during installation.
How is the microwave sensor adjusted?
The sensor has three adjustable parameters: sensitivity (1-10m detection range), lux threshold (0-30 lux ambient light level at which the sensor activates), and duration (6 seconds to 30 minutes that the light remains on after detecting motion). These are set via controls accessible once the cover is removed.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for outdoor installation under covered areas such as soffits, canopies, loading bays and building entrances. It should not be installed in fully exposed positions subject to direct rainfall or submersion.
How long does the battery last in emergency mode?
The 6V 1800mAh Ni-Cd battery provides 3 hours of emergency illumination at 285 lumens. The battery recharges automatically when mains power is restored. A green LED indicator shows charging status.
