Description

The Knightsbridge dual voltage shaver socket provides both 115V and 230V outputs at 20VA behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The socket supports UK and international shaver plugs, making it suitable for bathrooms where both voltage standards might be needed. The IP41 rating confirms protection against solid objects over 1mm and vertically dripping water, meeting UK bathroom installation requirements for Zone 3 and outside zones.

Designed for bathroom installation at least 3m from a bath or shower, the socket fits a standard 47mm minimum back box depth. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The built-in isolating transformer converts the 230V 50Hz mains supply to the dual outputs, with automatic voltage selection based on which plug is inserted.

The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic surface that resists fingerprints and water marks better than polished chrome. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and defines the socket aperture. The premium-grade steel construction carries a 25-year warranty and conforms to EN 61558 for isolating transformer safety. At 87.5mm wide and 147.5mm tall, the socket occupies a standard single-gang footprint.
