Description

The Knightsbridge dual voltage shaver socket accepts both 115V and 230V appliances through a single outlet marked 'SHAVERS ONLY'. The socket fits a brushed chrome rounded-edge faceplate with a grey insert panel housing the dual voltage receptacle and transformer. The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a brushed horizontal grain finish that softens reflections under bathroom lighting.

Designed specifically for bathrooms and en-suites, the socket is certified to EN 61558 and carries an IP41 rating, providing protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and water dripping from any direction. The dual voltage transformer inside the socket allows it to power electric shavers, electric toothbrush chargers and other compatible personal care devices rated for either 115V or 230V without needing an external adapter. The socket operates on 230V 50Hz mains input.

The rounded-edge faceplate measures 146.5mm high by 85.75mm wide with a 7.5mm projection from the wall once fitted to the back box. Installation requires a minimum 47mm mounting box depth. The faceplate is secured with two visible fixing screws top and bottom, with the screws recessed into circular apertures that sit flush with the plate surface. The grey insert panel behind the socket aperture provides visual contrast against the brushed chrome surround and conceals the back of the faceplate.
