What's the difference between 115V and 230V output?

The selector switch allows you to choose between UK standard 230V (for UK-market shavers and toothbrushes) and international 115V (for devices purchased in North America or other 110-120V markets). The socket isolates both voltages from the mains supply through an internal transformer.

Can this be installed in a bathroom shower zone?

The IP41 rating makes this socket suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and at least 600mm from the edge of a bath).
