Description

The Knightsbridge GDM016SB is a dual USB charger module designed for installation in the Knightsbridge Grid modular wiring system. The module provides two USB-A charging ports delivering a shared 5V DC 2.4A output, occupying two adjacent grid positions in a standard grid faceplate. The smoked bronze finish matches other modules in the Knightsbridge Grid range for coordinated multi-gang configurations.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, hotel rooms and commercial spaces where USB charging is needed without dedicated wall sockets, the module installs from the front of the grid mounting frame once the frame is fixed to a 35mm minimum depth back box. This front-loading design means modules can be added or reconfigured without removing the grid frame from the wall, simplifying installation and future changes to socket layouts.

The 2.4A shared output splits between the two ports depending on connected devices, with the module detecting device draw and allocating current accordingly. The ABS and steel construction carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations. The smoked bronze finish is a dark grey-brown metallic tone that pairs with matt black, gunmetal and dark wood interiors, providing a warmer alternative to polished chrome or brushed stainless finishes in the same grid system.
