Description
The Dryden 2 is a single-arm wall light with a clear glass hurricane-style shade on a polished nickel arm and backplate, housing a single 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K warm white. The solid brass construction is finished in polished nickel, which gives a warmer, softer metallic sheen than polished chrome, sitting between silver and brushed tones. The clear glass shade flares outward from the bulb holder, measuring 410mm from backplate to top of the shade.
The IP44 rating makes the Dryden 2 suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and beyond 60cm from the bath), as well as general living spaces, hallways and bedrooms. The polished nickel finish pairs comfortably with warmer metals (brass, bronze) and works across both contemporary and traditional interiors where a softer metallic accent is preferred over high-polish chrome. The 120mm projection from the wall places the shade clear of the mounting surface without dominating narrow hallways or landings.
The clear glass shade diffuses the 3W LED without heavy frosting, so the bulb remains visible when lit, creating a glow through the glass rather than concealing the light source entirely. The included LED G9 delivers 3000K output, which is warmer than typical cool white LEDs and closer to the colour temperature of halogen. The solid brass arm and turned detailing give the fitting a substantial 1.2kg presence that reads as traditional metalwork rather than pressed steel.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a bathroom?
Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Dryden 2 suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which means outside the shower enclosure and more than 60cm from the edge of the bath or basin. It is not rated for zone 0 or 1 (inside the shower or directly above the bath).
Is the bulb replaceable?
Yes. The fitting takes a standard G9 bulb up to 3W LED. The included 3W LED G9 at 3000K can be replaced with any standard G9 LED bulb if it fails or if you prefer a different colour temperature.
What is the difference between polished nickel and polished chrome?
Polished nickel has a warmer, softer metallic tone than polished chrome, sitting between silver and brushed finishes. Polished chrome is cooler and brighter with a mirror-like finish. Polished nickel pairs more comfortably with warm metals (brass, bronze) and traditional interiors.
How far does it project from the wall?
The projection is 120mm from the wall to the furthest point of the backplate and arm. This is relatively compact for a traditional-style wall light and works in narrower hallways and landings without obstructing passage.
