The Dryden is a single-arm wall light in polished brass with a ribbed glass shade and a turned brass stem. The fitting includes a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K, which casts warm light through the vertical ribbing of the glass to create subtle shadow patterns on adjacent walls. The oval backplate measures 140mm wide and sits flush to the wall, with the arm projecting 140mm outward.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and beside bedroom mirrors, the Dryden carries an IP44 rating for safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 where moisture is present but direct water contact is unlikely. The polished brass finish brings warmth to traditional and transitional interiors, and the reflective quality of the brass softens under bathroom lighting or next to warm-painted walls. The 330mm overall height suits positioning at head height (typically 1600-1800mm from floor level) for tasks like shaving or applying makeup.

The solid brass construction gives the fitting weight and durability — the turned stem detail and ornamental backplate show the machining and finishing that differentiates solid brass from plated alternatives. Is the Dryden suitable for bathroom use?

Yes. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This covers positions outside the shower cubicle or above the bath but within the general bathroom space. Do not install directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The fitting includes a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K colour temperature. The bulb is replaceable if you wish to change colour temperature or upgrade brightness in future.

What height should it be installed at?

For bathroom mirror lighting or hallway task lighting, install the backplate so the centre of the glass shade sits at approximately 1600-1800mm from floor level. This puts the light source at typical head height for adults when standing at a sink or mirror.

Can the polished brass be cleaned?

Solid brass can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For tarnish removal, use a specialist brass polish applied sparingly with a soft cloth, then buff to restore the shine. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads which will scratch the polished surface.
