The Drimena is a black outdoor wall light in the shape of a traditional lantern. A round backplate and a square-section arm carry a clear cylindrical glass shade, held in a cage of slim vertical rods with two flared rings at the top and a round collar at the base. The body is zinc-plated steel in a black finish, and the lantern stands 27.5cm tall, measures 16.5cm in length and projects 20cm from the wall. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W, and its IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

Fixed beside a front door, along a porch or by the back door leading out to the patio, it lights the step and the keyhole after dark and gives visitors a friendly welcome. Because corner mounting is possible, it also suits the spot where two walls meet, such as the edge of a garage or the corner of an extension. The clear glass leaves the bulb on show, so the bulb you choose sets the mood: a filament bulb suits the lantern's period lines, while a frosted one gives a softer glow. The black finish sits well against white render and pale stone, and the compact size suits a cottage doorway as well as a modern terrace.
