Description

The Drimarne is a compact, square recessed LED light in white, 8cm long and 8cm wide, with a softly scooped oval face. A small integrated LED sits under a hood at one edge of the scoop, so the light washes across the curved face and spills gently onto the surrounding surface rather than glaring into the room. It draws 2W and gives 90 lumens at 3000K, a warm light that sits comfortably with evening lighting. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only.

With an output this gentle, the Drimarne works as a guide light rather than a main light. We like it in a hallway or on a landing, where it marks the way at night without filling the space with brightness, and it suits a living room or bedroom as a quiet accent. Because it is recessed, only the slim square plate shows, so the surface around it stays clean and uncluttered. Several set in a line give an even, measured rhythm of light along a corridor, and the warm white keeps the mood relaxed after dark.

The LED is integrated and not replaceable, the light is not dimmable, and there is no switch on the fitting itself: it runs on a 220-240V mains supply and is switched at the wall. It needs a 6.3cm cut-out and 4cm of depth behind the surface, and it weighs 0.207KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
