Description

The Drelvanne is a black pendant light made from two looping bands that cross at a slim central bar, hung on two fine wires from a round ceiling plate. The body is aluminium and steel with a black finish, and a white plastic diffuser runs along the inner face of each band, so the light comes from the curve itself. It is 66cm long, 30cm wide and 110cm in overall height. The integrated LED draws 21W and gives 2,500 lumens at 3000K, a warm white. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

We think it is at its best over a dining table. The two loops spread light along the length of the tabletop rather than pooling it in one spot, and the open shape keeps the view across the table clear. It also suits a living room with a generous ceiling height, anywhere you want one light that draws the eye and does real work.
