Description

The Drawing Room is a 2-light flush ceiling fitting with a 330mm diameter pressed glass bowl suspended from a die-cast aluminium backplate finished in walnut. The backplate features overlapping arch and fluted detailing inspired by British Edwardian architectural motifs, framing the bowl with a repeating scalloped edge that casts shadow patterns onto the ceiling when lit. Each of the two E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the fitting projects just 152mm from the ceiling and provides ambient light rather than directed task lighting. The pressed glass bowl diffuses light from the two bulbs evenly across a room measuring 3-4m square, making it suitable for hallways, bedrooms, small living rooms and landings. The walnut finish on the die-cast aluminium provides warmth against neutral or cream-coloured ceilings.

The glass bowl is moulded with vertical fluting that echoes the pattern on the metal backplate, creating a unified design when viewed from below. The die-cast aluminium construction gives the fitting more weight and durability than pressed steel alternatives, with the walnut finish applied as a powder coat that resists chipping. The 330mm diameter covers a standard UK ceiling rose and the backplate conceals the fixing screws once installed.
