Description

The Drawing Room is a two-light wall bracket with a die-cast aluminium backplate finished in walnut, two curved arms supporting candle-style lamp holders, and two pleated fabric shades in cream. The backplate carries Edwardian-inspired fretwork detailing including overlapping arches, fluted mouldings and a central rosette motif. Each arm extends on a scrolled curve from the backplate and terminates in an E14 candle socket topped with a decorative finial.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where wall space allows a 368mm-wide fitting with 184mm projection from the wall, the Drawing Room provides ambient and decorative lighting in traditional and period-styled interiors. The pleated shades diffuse light from the two E14 bulbs (sold separately, up to 60W each) to reduce glare and cast a warm wash across wall and ceiling surfaces. The 610mm overall height suits installation at typical picture-rail height or above a mantelpiece.

The walnut finish is a mid-brown tone with darker lowlights in the recessed fretwork, giving depth to the moulded detailing without the high contrast of antique bronze or the coolness of polished metals. The die-cast construction provides durability and weight, ensuring the bracket sits firmly against the wall once mounted. The pleated fabric shades are replaceable if damaged or if a different shade style is preferred later.

What bulbs does it take?

The Drawing Room takes two E14 candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient hallway or living room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type you choose. LED E14 candle bulbs marked as dimmable will work with compatible dimmer switches. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not respond to a dimmer and may flicker.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 184mm from the wall surface once mounted. This suits hallways and living rooms with sufficient clearance, but may be too deep for narrow corridors or spaces where furniture sits close to the wall.

Can the shades be replaced?

Yes. The pleated fabric shades are friction-fit onto the lamp holder frames and can be removed if damaged or if you prefer a different shade style. Replacement E14 clip-on shades are available separately.
