Description
The Dilmorne is a slim, round LED downlight with a white aluminium body and a white plastic diffuser that spreads the LEDs into an even disc of light. It measures 11.7cm across and needs only 2cm of depth behind the ceiling, so it suits rooms where the void above the ceiling is shallow. The integrated LED draws 5.5W and gives 700lm at 4000K, a cool light that looks clean and crisp rather than warm and yellow. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: dry rooms indoors, never a bathroom or a garden.
Cool white light like this is a practical choice for kitchens, utility rooms, home offices, hallways and landings, anywhere clear, even light helps with the job at hand. The diffuser sits inside a slim white rim, so a row of these keeps a ceiling tidy and quiet, leaving the room and what hangs on its walls to take the eye. One useful detail: the downlight takes a ceiling cut-out anywhere from 6.8cm to 10cm across, which makes it a good candidate when you are replacing older downlights and want to reuse the holes already in the ceiling.
Two spring clips hold the downlight in the ceiling, and the LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and is switched at the wall; because it is not dimmable, it is not a match for a dimmer switch. Packed, each one weighs 0.216KG. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. Before you order, measure the holes you have: anything from 6.8cm to 10cm across will take this downlight.
