Description

The Diamond is a 2 light wall lamp built around a chrome metal frame filled with square-cut clear crystal elements arranged in vertical rows. Two G9 bulbs sit inside the crystal enclosure, casting light through the faceted crystal which scatters and refracts the output across surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas where wall-mounted decorative lighting is needed, the Diamond works as a single accent above a console table or in symmetrical pairs flanking mirrors, artwork or a bed headboard. The 26cm width and 20cm height give the fitting enough presence to register as a design feature without overwhelming typical 2.4m-height residential walls. The 13cm projection from the wall means it suits spaces with clearance for furniture positioned 40-50cm away from the fitting.

The chrome frame provides a reflective base that bounces light back through the crystal, while the square-cut facets on each crystal element create prismatic effects when lit. The 1.6kg weight requires solid wall fixings into masonry or timber studs rather than plasterboard alone. IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas, so bathrooms and outdoor locations are not suitable.

The fitting is Class 1, requiring an earth connection during installation. It comes with 2 x G9 bulbs, 6W each, included in the box, so the fitting arrives ready to use. Warm-white output pairs well with the reflective quality of the chrome and crystal.

What bulbs does the Diamond take?

The fitting takes 2 x G9 capsule bulbs, and these are included in the box at 6W each, so it arrives ready to use. The lampholders are rated up to 10W maximum should you ever replace them, with warm-white output suiting the reflective chrome and crystal.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Diamond is suitable for dry indoor areas only. Bathrooms, outdoor locations and any area exposed to moisture or spray require a higher IP rating (IP44 minimum for bathrooms).

How is it mounted to the wall?

The backplate fixes to the wall with screws driven into masonry plugs or timber studs. At 1.6kg the fitting requires solid fixings, as plasterboard alone will not support the weight. Mains wiring connects to a terminal block inside the backplate, and the fitting is Class 1 so requires an earth connection.

Can it be installed as a pair?

Yes. The 26cm width and symmetrical design make the Diamond well-suited to paired installation flanking mirrors, artwork or bed headboards. Space them 60-100cm apart depending on the width of the feature they frame.
