Description

The Desigual is a 400mm square semi-flush ceiling light with a matt black metal frame supporting three frosted opal glass domes. The frame forms an open rectangular cage around a central white diffuser disc, with two additional opal domes positioned at opposite corners. Each dome houses an E27 bulb (sold separately), giving the fitting a total three-light output.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m where a full pendant would hang too low but a flush fitting would lack visual presence, the Desigual projects just 20mm below the ceiling rose. The semi-flush configuration suits hallways, bedrooms, small living rooms and home offices where the fitting needs to provide ambient light without compromising headroom. The 400mm footprint covers a typical single ceiling rose and works well in rooms up to 12-15m².

The matt black frame contrasts with the frosted white opal shades, which diffuse light in all directions while hiding the bulb filaments from view. The geometric frame design shows different patterns depending on viewing angle, from below it reads as overlapping rectangles, from the side as a low-profile cage. The frosted glass softens the industrial feel of the black metalwork, making the fitting adaptable to both modern and transitional interiors. The 4.3kg weight requires secure ceiling rose mounting with appropriate fixings for the ceiling type.

The Desigual is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
