Description

The Dennison is an 800mm table lamp built around a ribbed glass urn body with brushed brass mounts at the base, collar and finial. The glass urn sits on a tiered brass plinth and supports a cream hardback fabric shade finished with a double trim. An E27 socket inside the shade accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for bedside tables, side tables and console positions in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, the Dennison provides ambient light through the fabric shade while the ribbed glass body adds a decorative element when viewed from the side. The 430mm shade diameter suits tables 600-900mm wide, with the lamp positioned to avoid overhang at the table edge. The brushed brass finish has a low sheen that reduces glare under natural daylight and pairs with warm wood tones, neutrals and grey-based interiors.

The ribbed glass urn follows classical urn proportions with vertical fluting cut into the glass, creating shadow lines when the lamp is lit and adding depth to the transparent body. The brass collar between the urn and shade conceals the E27 lampholder, while the brass finial at the top of the shade anchors the visual composition. The combined glass and brass base gives the lamp a stable 2.1kg footprint that resists tipping on bedside tables with books or devices nearby.

The Dennison takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or living room use.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb and wire the lamp through a compatible dimmer switch, the lamp will dim. The lamp itself has no built-in dimming control.

The 430mm shade diameter suits tables 600-900mm wide. On narrower bedside tables under 500mm the shade may overhang slightly; on wider console tables over 900mm the lamp can be positioned towards the back edge to avoid visual imbalance.

How is the shade cleaned?

The cream hardback fabric shade attracts dust over time. Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment or wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or household cleaners on the fabric as they can leave marks or discolour the cream finish.
