Description
The Denhollow is a mid century dome pendant, 500mm across, in matt black with satin gold on the metalwork. The shape is the familiar wide, shallow dome of that period, and it does a specific job: light is pushed down and out rather than up, which is what makes a fitting like this work over a table or a worktop. Overall height adjusts between 375mm and 1690mm, so it can sit close under a standard ceiling or drop a long way. One E27 lamp rated up to 10W in LED sits inside, and it dims with a dimmable lamp and a compatible dimmer switch.
A single wide dome suits a small round dining table, a breakfast bar, or a run of three or four over a kitchen island where you want repetition. Hung on a long drop it works over a bedside table in place of a lamp, and in a hallway it gives you one clean shape overhead. Matt black is the practical choice in a kitchen, since it does not show steam marks or fingerprints the way a gloss finish does, and the satin gold keeps it from reading as severe. It sits well with pale wood, white tiles and darker painted units.
The dome and fittings are metal, the exterior in a matt black finish with satin gold detail. Dust with a dry soft cloth and lift cooking marks with a barely damp cloth, drying immediately; solvent cleaners and abrasive pads will mark a matt finish permanently, so keep them away. Set the drop before final fixing, especially if you are hanging several in a row and want the domes level. It is a Class 1 fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and a qualified electrician. The same Denhollow dome comes in matt warm white if black feels too heavy.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
500mm across, with an overall height that adjusts between 375mm and 1690mm at installation.
What is it made from?
Metal, with a matt black exterior finish and satin gold detail on the metalwork.
Which bulb does it take?
One E27 screw fit lamp rated up to 10W in LED. Use a dimmable lamp if you want to dim it.
Can I hang several in a row?
Yes. Over an island, space them roughly 700mm to 800mm apart and set each drop before final fixing so the domes sit level.
How do I clean a matt finish?
A dry soft cloth for dust and a barely damp cloth for marks, dried at once. Solvents and abrasive pads will permanently mark matt paint.
Where can I use it?
Dry indoor rooms only, as it is rated IP20. Kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways all suit it.
