Description

The Dawn is a 120mm cube-frame table lamp built from brass-finish metal tubing around a frosted glass globe, set on a black marble base. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the globe, casting diffused light through the glass and between the open sides of the brass frame.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and console surfaces where a compact accent light is needed, the 120mm square footprint fits smaller surfaces without dominating them. The open cube frame allows light to escape in all directions while the frosted globe softens the bulb glare. The black marble base adds 30-40mm of height and provides ballast to keep the lamp stable when the cable is pulled or the surface is bumped.

The brass finish on the metal frame sits somewhere between brushed and satin, with enough texture to reduce fingerprints and reflections. The 860mm cable length allows the lamp to be positioned 700-800mm from the nearest wall socket without needing an extension lead. The G9 fitting accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to the rating specified in the table below, giving control over brightness and colour temperature depending on which bulb is chosen.

IP20-rated for dry indoor use only. The open structure means the bulb and lampholder are exposed to dust, so the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near hobs, or outdoor locations. The lamp carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
