Davos Square Outdoor LED Wall Light 12W 4000K - Rust Brown

The Davos is a 100mm cube outdoor wall light with a rust brown powder-coated aluminium body and two integrated 6W LED modules producing a combined 1100 lumens of 4000K cool white light. The light exits through slots at the top and bottom of the cube, creating a bi-directional wash effect up and down the wall surface rather than forward projection.

Designed for front door surrounds, garage entrances, courtyard walls and garden pathways, the Davos provides functional security lighting with a compact 100mm square footprint. The IP54 rating protects the internal LED and driver from dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for exposed UK exterior locations including coastal areas where salt spray is present. The bi-directional beam creates a symmetrical pattern of light either side of the fitting, which works well when multiple units are spaced evenly along a wall.

The rust brown finish is a warm mid-brown with a slight red undertone, giving the appearance of weathered Corten steel. The powder coating is applied to die-cast aluminium which provides a rigid structure and heat dissipation for the LED, while keeping the overall weight at 620g. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, producing a neutral white light that reads as crisp but not harsh against brick, stone or render.

The die-cast aluminium body carries heat away from the LED and holds the powder coating firmly against knocks and weather. The 4000K neutral tone keeps detail sharp on brick and stone, while the 620g weight allows straightforward fixing to standard exterior substrates with wall plugs and screws through the rear plate.

Can this be used in a bathroom or shower area?

The IP54 rating protects against water splashes but not direct jets or submersion. It is suitable for outdoor use and covered porches, but for bathroom zones near showers or baths an IP65 or higher rating is required. Check the specific zone requirements before installing in a bathroom.

Does the light shine forwards or up and down?

The Davos casts light upwards and downwards through slots at the top and bottom of the cube, creating a bi-directional wash on the wall behind it. Very little light projects forward away from the wall, so it functions as accent and security lighting rather than pathway illumination.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED and driver are integrated into the fitting and are not user-replaceable. The LED has a typical lifespan of 25,000-30,000 hours, which equates to approximately 10-12 years of use at 8 hours per night.
