Description

The Davos is a 100mm cube outdoor wall light finished in rust brown with an integrated 12W LED that casts 1100 lumens of warm 3000K light through dual apertures at the top and bottom of the housing. The cube sits directly against the wall with a 100mm projection, creating symmetrical up-and-down wash patterns that highlight architectural texture above and below the fitting.

Designed for residential exteriors, the Davos suits positions flanking front doors, garage entries, garden walls and courtyard recesses where directional accent light is more appropriate than flood lighting. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed walls under eaves or in open courtyards. The rust brown powder-coated aluminium finish pairs naturally with timber cladding, exposed brick, rendered masonry and stone façades.

The 100mm cubic form reads as a solid geometric object during daylight and becomes a light source after dark without dominating the wall plane. The dual-beam configuration directs light onto the wall surface rather than into the viewer's eyes, keeping glare low while emphasising the material texture of the building. At 0.62kg the fitting mounts securely to standard brick, block or timber substrates using the included fixings.

What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?

IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. The Davos can be mounted on exposed exterior walls under eaves, in courtyards or on garden walls, but should not be placed where it will be submerged or experience sustained direct water jets.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 13 years of typical evening use. The entire fitting would be replaced at end of LED life.

How is the dual-beam effect created?

The cube housing has open apertures at the top and bottom, with the LED positioned internally to direct light through both openings. This creates symmetrical wash patterns on the wall above and below the fitting rather than projecting light forward.

Can it be mounted horizontally or at an angle?

The Davos is designed for vertical wall mounting with the apertures aligned top and bottom. Mounting it horizontally or at an angle would alter the intended light distribution and may affect IP rating integrity.
