Description

The Davos is a cylindrical outdoor wall light with a curved sand white aluminium body housing an integrated 12W LED that outputs 1100 lumens at 4000K cool white. The light projects from both the top and bottom of the curved cylinder, casting upward and downward beams onto the wall surface and the ground below.

Designed for patios, external corridors, garden walls and building entrances, the Davos provides functional illumination for pathways and architectural accent lighting for rendered or brick facades. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for UK outdoor use year-round in locations with partial shelter from direct rain. The bi-directional beam pattern creates a layered lighting effect on vertical surfaces whilst illuminating the ground for wayfinding.

The sand white powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion and reflects daylight when the light is off, integrating the fitting into white-painted or pale-rendered walls. At 140mm wide and projecting 115mm from the wall, the Davos suits narrow alcoves and entrance porches where a larger wall light would protrude too far into circulation space. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for 220-240V mains operation.

What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?

IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The Davos is suitable for UK outdoor installation in covered porches, under eaves, on garden walls with partial shelter, and in external corridors. It is not rated for full submersion or exposure to high-pressure water jets.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation (typical for this class of outdoor LED wall light). When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting requires replacement.

What does bi-directional lighting mean?

The Davos casts light both upward and downward from the curved cylinder, creating two beams that illuminate the wall surface above and below the fitting whilst also lighting the ground. This layered effect adds depth to facades and improves visibility on pathways.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP54 rating makes the Davos suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower cubicle and bath area), but it is primarily designed for outdoor use. For bathrooms, verify local electrical regulations before installation.
